NJ agencies launch program to address mortgage crisis

NEW JERSEY: In a bid to prevent foreclosures in the face of the mortgage crisis, several New Jersey State agencies have come together with financial services institutions to announce a public-private alliance designed to both educate and assist New Jersey homeowners.

The Commissioners of the New Jersey Departments of Banking and Insurance (DOBI) and the Department of Community Affairs (DCA), stood with Senator Ron Rice and representatives of financial services institutions and their trade associations to announce the alliance on Oct 31.
